Congress is currently working to develop Federal proposals to reform the health insurance market to help improve access to health coverage for small firms and individuals.
BCBSA strongly supports the goal of making health coverage more affordable for small businesses. BCBSA believes that any federal market reform proposal should meet the following three principles: (1) one set of rules for all health plans; (2) state regulation of all entities selling health coverage; and (3) appropriatBCBSA Position on Individual Mandate/Guaranteed Issuee consumer protection rules.
