Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona championed state legislation (SB 1098) that allows health insurers to offer rewards or incentives to members participating in qualified wellness programs.  The bill's passage was a key step toward encouraging healthy lifestyles and curbing rising healthcare costs through better management of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and obesity.
