Since 1995, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia and Quality Care Providers, Inc. (QCPI) have maintained their commitment to quality and affordable healthcare coverage in a number of ways, including a physician quality program for more than 900 primary care physicians participating in the BlueChoiceSM network in the Atlanta area.  This program is based on preventive health measurements, patient satisfaction and quality goals, including mammography screening rates, proper testing and follow-up for diabetic patients, vaccination rates among children and seniors and appropriate use of antibiotics.    Network physicians’ performance is reviewed on an annual basis.
