Maryland Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield started the Maryland Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program to help beneficiaries bridge gaps in Medicare Part D's coverage of their medications.  With close to $14 million in annual financial support from CareFirst, the program provides premium assistance to moderate-income Maryland seniors eligible for Medicare and enrolled in a prescription drug plan, with monthly stipends of up to $25 to meet drug plan costs.
