Anthem Blue Cross’s HMO Quality Scorecard Program provides physician bonus incentives for medical groups demonstrating improved quality of service and patient care in HMO plans.  The awards are based on providers’ performance in managing chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease; adhering to screening guidelines for breast and cervical cancer; and achieving high-quality patient outcomes and service satisfaction scores.
