Healthcare Consumerism Study

Categories: Encourage Research on What Works

In 2007, Regence conducted a study to determine how consumers shop for healthcare.  Research found the number of people inclined to shop for medical services was much higher than previously thought.  Seven out of 10 consumers indicated they would seek out information such as price and quality for medical services.  The study was conducted in the states that Regence serves: Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah.  To learn more about the study, please click here.
